While I often say that I cannot wait to welcome Spring & Summer with open arms, I still love these Winter months in the Northeast! I love how the crystal white snow covers the tree branches, the delicious goodness of hot chocolate, snow days, and visiting my family’s cabin in the Adirondacks. There is nothing like the coziness and peacefulness that Winter brings. How lucky are we that we have all four seasons in New York?!
This week, BIB planned a last-minute, winter-burgundy styled shoot. Taking place at Greentree Country Club in New Rochelle, NY… This styled shoot was setup on Greentree’s snow-covered, private beach. I envisioned warm, rich colors like burgundy and vintage golds. I love this trend that we have been seeing often with wine / burgundy colored floral arrangements for winter weddings. This color palette perfectly suits the winter landscape as it provides contrast with a lovely pop of color!
Setting up a sweetheart table along the beach, I decorated this petite setup with florals kindly provided by Arcadia Floral in Mamaroneck, New York. Greentree Country Club’s in-house pastry chef generously made the most delicious strawberry shortcake for the cake table. It was a bit too windy to light the candles on the beach as I ventured out in the twenty degree weather… But this shoot was so worth it. Since the shoot was so spur of the moment, I ended up taking the photos myself. INSERT FUN FACT RIGHT HERE: I love photography! It is one of my favorite hobbies and has been since I was about ten years old. It was fun to create something small on the beach, but Blushing In Bloom Weddings & Events is looking forward to planning more styled shoots this Spring with all of our vendor friends in the Hudson Valley!
